Just 6/10 for me.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -
Shame you can't go back and change your previous answers - I rushed my answer to the loyalty card one and then realised too late what the right answer would have been, but couldn't go back and change it.
Still managed 7/10, so not too bad.0 -
I managed 8/10. I got the car insurance wrong and the loyalty points. I thought the pilot would have had the best rate insurance afterall if he can manage to pilot a plane a car should be pretty straightforward.:rotfl: I don't really bother with loyalty points. I mean I collect Tesco points but rarely shop in Boots and never in Sainsburys so wouldn't have a clue on their policies. I thought buying at the cheaper shop would have been better. Oh well you live and learn0

Hiya folks
Glad to see you're enjoying it. I deliberately wrote the questions to be tough (and think the techies have put it together beautifully). Hopefully by making it tough people will get a few more tips out of the answers.
And its been tougher than I thought. Of the first 1,000 people only 3 got 10/10 and 5 got 9/10. So if you're getting 7 or 8 you're doing REALLY well.

Really chuffed- I got 8! I goofed on the worse deal for the boxes of chocolates one and the railcard one (didn't really read that one properly, I discovered when I saw the answers.)
Very informative- nice bit of fun!Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0 -
I did really rubbish (3/10)
but in my defence I am a Newbie!!!
I think it's so great, I've printed it out to play as a game on Christmas Day with my whole extended family (don't worry Martin, I'll credit it to you and point them all in the direction of your excellent website!) :money:
Merry Christmas (and a money-saving New Year!)

Question 2 has to be wrong as you can only get the third 33% free if you pay for the third box ie it is 4 for the price of three.
in case 3 your money for one box buys 1 plus 40% boxes,
in case 2 it buys 1 and 33% boxes and
in case 1 the money for one box buys 2 boxes
hence case 2 must be the worst deal0 -

No, the answer is correct. Say, for example, a box cost £3.
Under option 2, if you bought three boxes, this would cost £9 less 33%, so at a total cost of £6.
Under option 3, if you spent £6 you would get two boxes, plus 40% of two boxes, so getting 4/5ths of a box extra. So for the same money, you'd only get 2.8 boxes and not three.0 -
I got 8!!! I'm dead chuffed.
Got the rail card one wrong (didn't really understand the question, so said always, then saw the answer and kicked myself). And the downshift challenge one....
The rest were sooooooooo easy, honest!0 -
dare i say 3 out of 10, but in my defence i don`t understand isas ,insurances or anything like that!lol. My moneysaving consists of the cheapest deal with goods , clothes etc, lol.
If there`d have been more questions on that, i`d have scored 10 out of 10 lol0
