Cartel Client Review has threatened legal action against MoneySavingExpert.com as a number of people have posted negative comments in relation to its business practices; comments that Cartel Client Review says are untrue. To protect the site and its posters from legal action, we have suspended the posts.

It's important that discussion is heard on this issue, and we aim to do our best to ensure any debate in the public interest continues.

Is this kowtowing to a legal threat?

Absolutely not. This site is here to help consumers and it will not be cowed by threats to keep it quiet. However we cannot continue to display your comments unless we have evidence that the facts on which they are based are true.

We’re going to investigate the claims and we need your help.

We are already in the middle of a guide to Cartel and other claims handling companies and whether their claims stack up. If you have personally had dealings with Cartel Client Review or other claims companies we want to hear from you, especially if you have posted any of the comments that have been suspended as part of this complaints handling process.

We need details of your dealings with Cartel Client Review and any evidence you have in support of your comments so that we can carry out our investigation as thoroughly and fairly as possible and we need you to be willing to be named as a provider of this information. Without this assistance from you it will be very difficult for us to carry out a thorough investigation.

What if the company is just trying to censor debate?

If after our investigation there are grounds to suspect that this complaint was an attempt to censor legitimate comment about the company, then we reserve the right to report that fact, together with the results of our investigation, to a wider audience; such as the 3m people who receive our weekly email.

In the meantime please do NOT post about Cartel Client Review anywhere else on the forum.
