I want a £30 mobile phone!

Options
I'm after a phone around £30-£35 (for a present). I don't want one of the ultra-basic phones, but it doesn't need to be super fancy either.
Key things I'm after are: camera, bluetooth, looks nice, not a PITA to use, reliable.

Games, music player etc not as important.

So, what would you recommend? :)

    Hello GeologyRocks

I'll move your thread to the 'Mobile Phones' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I have just purchased the Nokia 2630 at Argos. It has good reviews and I am very pleased with it.

  • Did you get the SIM card to fit it then?
  • At first I couldn't find the SIM card as it wasn't in the box but it came with the SIM card already fitted in the phone by Nokia.

  • Cheers, the 2630 looks pretty good. Other contenders have been a Sony Ericsson T250i (but didn't have bluetooth) and a Sagem phone, but some reviews said it broke easily.

What's the deal with the sim card...?

There are a couple of sony erricssons on the orange website for £24 - though you have to buy a £10 top up.
    Looking forward to the future.

The SIM card is already fitted in the phone by Nokia and has £1 of Vodafone credit. If you register your details with Vodafone you get a further £1.

There are cheaper ones on the Argos website but I got this one because it has 17 good reviews, has masses of facilities, looks good and was £29.39.

  • What about a Skypephone from 3 - £39.99 but go through quidco and get £11 - it includes a £10 starter pack. Transfer a number to it and get a further £10 credit.
