Thought this might be of interest to those whose 100.00 switching payment is imminent. ( Ive just gone over 15 weeks since account was first opened/funded)
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the £100 Switching Incentive.
Due to the very high demand for this incentive we have regrettably experienced a delay in the processing of payments.
However we do expect your account to be credited with the incentive within approximately 7 days.
I do apologise for the delay. If you have any further questions or need any more help please visit our ‘Help’ section online or contact us again.
Kind regards

Thanks for that. I've been wondering where my £100 pound was.
When i opened the account i was informed that i would have 1 year interest free overdraft. Does anyone know if i extend that overdraft now (considering im only around 15 weeks into my new account) would i still get it interest free?

I was offered £25 by A&L to see a "financial advisor". The bloke was without doubt the biggest tw*t I've ever met. Getting my £25 for suffering this *anker was like getting blood out of a stone. Add that to the vomit inducing ever changing coloured lights in the branch and one wonders why anybody goes near them!0

i applied for a loan with them and the next day i had a call from a dodgy firm they had passed my details to called ccc offering me a loan at 41%!!!!!!0

With mine they are claiming that I have not met the criteria....
they seem to think I havent switched standing orders and direct debits....
funny that.... given how I haven't yet set any up. Will persevere with trying to explain this to them through the secure messaging. Doesn't surprise me they are trying to wiggle out of paying though!!0 -

If that's the case, and they haven't switched any for you, then you won't get your £100 incentive.0 -

Should your personal loan application be unsuccessful, we will pass your details to an alternative loan provider who may be able to provide you with an alternative loan, although they cannot guarantee this. Any loan they may offer you may be at a higher rate of interest. If you do not wish us to pass your details to an alternative loan provider, please tick the box.0 -

Apologies, I was a little unclear. I didn't personally switch dd's and so's, they did it for me
we'll see what happens; but it makes me glad I don't use A and L as my main bank!!0 -
Heh, it's not like they haven't had 15 weeks to plan these payments.
:T A+L actually promised that the 100.00 would be paid between 12-15 weeks after .........
A cynic might say that A+L have delayed payment of the 100.00 as long as possible to try and avoid people switching straight out into Abbeys Current Account with 100.00 incentive. :rolleyes:0 -
Just got this secure message back from A and L. It seems it's worth taking it up with them if they decline it.....
"Thank you for your e-mail regarding the incentive payment for opening your account.
Please accept my apologies for the incorrect information given on the last e-mail. I can confirm that you are eligible for the payment. I should explain that due to the large number of customers who have taken up the incentive we are experiencing delays in crediting funds to our customer's accounts.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and explain we anticipate the credit to be applied to your account in the next 10-14 days.
I do hope you find the above information useful, however, if you have any further questions or need any more help please visit our ‘Help’ section online or contact us again.
Kind regards
