Dell Dimension 1100 £292 del. with 17" Flatscreen (merged)

Options
Dell code (small business) DMUK4-D01113

Dimension 1100 (D01113)
Intel® Celeron® D Processor 335 (2.80GHz, 533fsb, 256K cache), Genuine Windows® XP Home
512MB Dual Channel DDR400 (2x256MB)
Dell E176FP 17" Flat Panel Monitor
160GB (7,200rpm) Hard Drive
No Floppy Drive, Modem or speakers
48X DVD/CDRW Combo Drive

I found this in the printed brochure.

Now somebody please tell where I can buy a brand new pc with a 17" flatscreen monitor with XP for less than £300 DELIVERED.

As budget pcs go, I can't see it getting any better.
Say 120 for the monitor, 70 for XP
100 for the rest.. cpu, memory, motherboard, box, psu
built, installed, delivered & guaranteed for a year.
God bless exploitation of the developing world.

Disadvantages with the 1100 include
1) limited expandability - very,very limited
2) Dell's customer care is crap.

Lol...good points and a good find for the right person.
  • Thanks for this - It is exactly what my parents need. They were annoyed when they missed the last dell offer for a £350 PC with 17 monitor.

Thankfully the two downsides are not going to be a problem for them. They will never need to add bits to it (it will sit barely used for the next 5 years)

And customer service will involve calling me and asking me to come and help with their PC!!

5.5% cashback with Quidco. Don't let Rpoints keep over half of the cash for themselves ;)

6.5% now with quidco I believe. Don't let rpoints keep nearly two thirds of the cash :(

Not keen on this offer, but may look for an alternative.

Why is upgrading a problem and could a floppy disc be added?
