Hunting for a memory! For a nostalgia hamper

Hi All,

I have posted on Yahoo Answers to no avail, so am hoping someone here can help. Am going hampering crazy at the mo, and am making a nostalgic one for my sister, who is three years younger than me. We were children in the 70s, and I remember us loving this particular thing that I am trying to get hold of soooo much that I know it would really make her Christmas if I could find one.

In my memory it was called something like a Japanese or Chinese Water Garden. It came in a box I think, and inside were all these colourful very tightly rolled bits of paper. You filled a large bowl with water, and poured them in and it looked like a floating garden blooming. We thought it was absolutely magical.

I have searched online for all variations of what I thought it was called, and have been to Hawkin's Bazaar, which I thought was the most obvious place, but with no luck.

Does anyone else remember them?

Thanks in Advance

Vicky
