Free haircut with a £3.50 magazine

What's the deal?
December's Elle magazine comes with a voucher for a free cut and blow dry. Elle only costs £3.50, so this is pretty cheap for a haircut.
How to grab it
To get it, first check there’s a participating salon near you, then call The Hair Group (the company running the promotion) on 0844 884 4000 to confirm it's taking part.
If it works for you, buy the December issue of Elle, and cut out the voucher on page 333. Complete it, then send before 31 March 2009 to:
The Hair Group/Elle Offer, Unit F, Penfold Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts WD24 4YY.
What to watch out for
You can only get one free haircut through the Hairgroup per year. So if you've used a similar offer before you won't be eligible for this one.
Due to past MoneySavers experiences of Hair Group promotions, here are some quick tips:
- It can take up to 60 days to be contacted (either by the Hair Group or your allocated salon) to make an appointment.
- The salon can be up to 45 minutes journey time away.
- You then need to make an appointment within three months.
- Some salons may require a refundable booking deposit.
Many thanks to MoneySaver lorweld for spotting the offer. This additional post has been inserted on top of the discussion to provide a more detailed explanation.

If it's the same promotion as run in the summer last year (thread HERE), then the locations can be found HERE.
Obviously i'm guesstimating, but someone else maybe able to verify.

My subscription copy arrived a week or so ago. Saintscouple, you are right, it is with The Hair Group again.
Basically, to claim your free cut and finish, you need to complete the coupon that is on page 333 and then send it into them. You will then be contacted within 60 days of receiving your completed coupon by either The Hair Group or your allocated salon.
The page also says: for any enquiries regarding this offer, contact The Hair Group on 0844 884 4000. The closing date for coupons is 31 March 2009. And to find your nearest salon, visit http://www.hairgroup.co.uk
For further info, please also refer to the Terms and Conditions which I have painstakingly
copied out for you all.
T&C's: Offer includes a free cut and finish (blow dry) only. Any additional services will be charged at the normal rate by the salon. The salon has the right to choose the level of the technician who will carry out the service, as well as the day of the week that the reader can take up the offer. No more than one Hair Group voucher per person can be redeemed in a 12 month period. Appointments during busy periods, such as Christmas, may be subject to additional restrictions and therefore lead to increased waiting times. Entrants must be over 18 years of age and UK residents. There is no cash alternative. Once allocated to a salon, the voucher is valid for three months. All entries must be on the original coupon. No photocopies accepted. Incorrectly completed, photocopied, damaged or defaced coupons will not be accepted. Entrants will be contacted within 60 days of receipt of details. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. A journey time of up to 45 minutes in some areas of the UK may be necessary to the nearest salon. All Hair Group salons trade under their own names and are independent companies. Some salons do not offer afro services. Although the Hair Group has a large number of salon members throughout the UK, it is unable to guarantee availability for each region. However, consumer details will be kept on record and will be contacted when a salon is recruited to The Hair Group within the promotional period. The Hair Group and its promotional partners are not responsible for any services provided in its members' salons. The offer is subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute this offer for an alternative of equal or greater value. The voucher cannot be resold. Please note, not all salons participate with this offer. No in-salon purchase is necessary. The offer may not be exchanged or transferred. Some salons may require a fully refundable booking deposit.

I've twice entered one of these promotions with the Hair Group before and they have never contacted me. Has anyone else been successful in actually getting a haircut?0
