Free haircut with a £3.50 magazine

I phoned The Hair Group last summer (when they were doing the last promotion) and a very nice lady took my details and said that I will be contacted with details of where to have my free haircut shortly. A couple of weeks later a Manager from a local hairdressers left a message on my voicemail to say that if I wanted a free haircut to ring them back to arrange an appointment. When I did ring back I was told the Manager was not available and the receptionist didn’t know anything about the free promotion. I rung them again about 3 times, but each time the Manager was either not there or was not available so I just gave up in the end. What a waste of time.

I tried this when Herbal Essences were running the promotion, sent off for my voucher etc etc..... went along to my nearest participating salon to enquire and was told that in fact they wouldn't offer a free haircut at all! They said that too many customers had been in for their 'free' cut and not returned (didn't say much for their cutting skills then!) so they offered me 20% off. I declined!

I bought into this the last time the offer was on, bought the magazine which I didn't really want or need hoping to get the freebie haircut, sent off the voucher by recorded delivery and never heard a thing, so no haircut and a waste of £3.50 but hope others had more luck:(

I've had this offer twice - and got the free cut both times, from the same salon, 12 months apart, no problems.
Hope that gives some people a bit of confidence.

I went to find the magazine today and could not find in store as they had the Elle Jan 09 one in .. can I ask who is on the cover or what is on the cover of this issue ??

Its not the January Courtney Love one, it's December,Kate Beckinsale which has over 300 pages. Jan has less than 200!
