Default Grab a haircut for £3.30

24 July 2007

What’s the deal?

This month’s (August) Elle magazine comes with a voucher for a free hair cut, meaning you can get a cut and blow dry for just £3.30.

How to grab a free hairdo

First check that there’s a participating salon near you. Then buy the August issue of Elle and complete the coupon on page 174, as instructed.

Fill out the application form and send it, along with your receipt and an A5 S.A.E, to: The Hair Group/Elle, Unit F, Penfold Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts.

Coupons must be received by 31 October 2007 and you’ll be contacted within 30 days by either the Hair Group to make an appointment.

Only one 'The Hair Group' voucher can be redeemed in any 12 month period.

Plus a free bikini!

The magazine also comes with a free bikini on the front cover, available in three colours -though its one-size-fits all! Not the highest quality fabric, but useful if you want a standby for you hols.

Thanks to mashauk for the original post.

Default ELLE Magazine

In this month's magazine there's a free bikini (one size fits all allegedly), plus a voucher for a free haircut at participating salons, and also a free body lotion.

Hey all,

Does anyone know which London hairdressers are involved in this promotion?

Cheers!

Question Better than Herbal essence???

hmmmn, I wonder if this will work better than the Herbal Essence offer from which, 8 weeks later, I am still waiting for my voucher.
If I keep spending on the qualifying products I'll soon have paid for a haircut anyway

To check on the salons click on the link in Martin's Money Tips weekly e-mail, to access a drop down menu.
Don't bother if you live in South Wales as there are 2 salons listed : Pontardulais (huge surprise) and Cardiff (no surprise at all).

You can find if you have a local hairdresser by clicking on the link in Martin's email - usually with this sort of thing there is nothing local to me but in this case there's a salon in town!! Shame I only got my hair cut last week.....!!

I can't see any link other than to this page in Martin's email and no drop down box (how can you have a drop down box in an email?).

Can anyone help me out with finding if any participating salons are located in Nottingham?

Much appreciated (by the wife)
Greg.

Click on the "near you" (in purple) in Martin's post. You get the HairGroup box, the drop-down menu is where you select the county you live in. Good Luck

There is a link in the first post - the "salons near you" this links direct to the hairgroups website - so if you can;t find the link then just go to xxx.hairgroup.co.uk

Well the link is there. For anyone who can't find it, it's this: www.hairgroup.co.uk.

Somehow, the drop down menu does not want to open for me, so I would appreciate someone posting the London salons.

Yes, I also am waiting for the Herbal Essence voucher. I only sent it on 2nd July, but was hoping to get my haircut before my hols on 25th August!

Do you know if the Herbal Essence is a "Hair Group" offer? Because as far as I'm aware, you can only take advantage once (possibly twice) in any 12 months so it wouldn't be worth buying the Elle magazine anyway.

Also, I've noticed that these "free haircut" offers appear quite a lot here and there over the course of the year - if you've got a style that can go for a few months and still look OK, you can get by on "freebies" most, if not all, the time!

Have fun!

This is great for those who live near the salons (not me I'm afraid). But I have noticed that some salons near me advertise for models in the local paper from time to time so it's worth keeping an eye out for those.

As an ex-hairstylist, I know from experience that "models" usually get very good treatment. There is a lot more time spent on your hair than you would usually get and it's all done under supervision.

Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time. I remember my first hair cut took me over 3 hours! The poor lady who patiently sat there though didn't realise it was probably the most perfece, precise hair cut she would ever receive in her life!

Hi all, I have been trying to get on the Hair Groups site for about 30 minutes, seems they are a little busy! Someone posted that there are no salons in Oxfordshire but does anyone know about Bucks or Berks? I am on the boarder of all three counties.

Thanks.
