Ive tried one of these before . I checked there was a salon I was willing to travel to, but they called me up saying thewre wasnt a salon near me !!

seems their site can't handle all the traffic after Martin's post this morning. Guess they only have a small server...

Otherwise could always try the Mahogany offer someone mentioned - free cut & colour on Monday by supervised trainee - they have 3 salons in Oxford from what I can see on their website... www.mahoganyhair.co.uk

I had a hairgroup offer from the Sun too, sent off the coupon, and then about 5 weeks later they sent me a text message telling me there isnt one in my area, even though i know for a fact theres one in the next postcode.

Personally, I dont know why they bother with all these promos, they clearly dont have the salons to cope with demand ( or dont want to give them away at all)

Incidentally the other day on getlippy.com ( part of New woman mag or similar) was ginvg free manicures in harigroup locations. I didnt bother with that either!

Yes, I also am waiting for the Herbal Essence voucher. I only sent it on 2nd July, but was hoping to get my haircut before my hols on 25th August!

Do you know if the Herbal Essence is a "Hair Group" offer? Because as far as I'm aware, you can only take advantage once (possibly twice) in any 12 months so it wouldn't be worth buying the Elle magazine anyway.

Also, I've noticed that these "free haircut" offers appear quite a lot here and there over the course of the year - if you've got a style that can go for a few months and still look OK, you can get by on "freebies" most, if not all, the time!

Tell me about it! I sent off my Glamour/Hair Group voucher in the middle of June and I'm still waiting. I dont doubt that this is a good deal for some, but unless I can figure out how to query it, I'm saying its a bit of a con!

I've just managed to get onto the site and there's no Avon either. Nor Oxon or Wilts for that matter, which is the area that I'm from. Bummer...I was gonna surprise the Mrs!
