Free Texaco Kids' Pac-a-Mac Luminous Raincoat

What's it about?

Texaco is offering free kids' "ghostly gown" Pac-a-macs that reflect light in the dark.

How do I get one?

Pop along to a Texaco service station (click on the Texaco Station Locator to find your nearest) between 10 November and 8 December and you'll be able to pick one up for your kid. They're aimed at children between 6 and 10 years old and are based on The Adventures of Hector.

How long will they be available?

These will be in service stations either until stocks run out or 8 December, whichever is the sooner, but as we've been told there are 400,000 available nationwide this shouldn't be a problem.

Why's it doing this?

Obviously Texaco's hoping to get extra business from people coming into its service stations but it's launched this to coincide with National Road Safety Week this week.

  • They didn't have a clue what I was talking about at my local Texaco (East London)
  • I stopped at a texaco garage in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire today and found the free macs and stickers on the service counter. :j I asked the saleswoman what they were and she invited me to help myself. My 6 and 4 year old children have been playing in them all afternoon and love them. I'm going to keep them in the car as spare raincoats if we're out and about and get caught out by the weather. They are really durable too so can be reused many times. Keep looking out for them as I think they're brill. I also helped myself to five different coloured luminous stickers too, with safety messages on. The children have stuck them onto their school bags.

    Thank you Texaco!:T
