  • I also went to a Texaco garage last night and the guy there said to me 'we dont sell them here' I told him they were the free ones and he just replied they had them weeks ago but not now!!!

I dont think he knew what I was talking about really.
  • I got a couple yesterday on the A120 near Colchester. They are much larger than I expected and are good for raincoats. They were on the counter in a box.On top of all the petrol pumps there were signs advertising them which is a way of finding if your garage has them before going in and buying something.

  • Many thanks to the OP - picked up one each for my 2 kids last night.

Quick tip - do not rely on the station finder - I got mine from the Texaco at Sutterton roundabout in Lincolnshire (where the A17 crosses the A16), but if you use that station finder, it isn't listed (I tried Sutterton, Boston, A16 and A17, and none of them yielded results)

Edit: I have now found it on there, but only by searching by county
  • Thanks to the OP, I got mine at the weekend. For those in West Somerset the garage on Wellington Road in Taunton were stocking the macs and stickers. My son has not taken it off!!! :j

thanks - I got a couple tonight in Eastleigh, Hampshire. I had to ask for them as they were behind the counter. And they threw in lots of stickers too. Great post.

If anyone uses the A4103 between Hereford and Worcester, or A417 between Dinmoor and the Trumpet, they have them in the garage at Newtown Crossroads.

Saw them on my way home today and got one for dd - she loves it! Cashier said to take as many as I liked!

I nearly missed them as I only popped in for a bar of chocolate  and hadn't even noticed it was a Texaco garage!

Thank you very much for this post. I run a Brownie unit so I emailed Texaco and asked if they would be kind enough to donate some of these for the Brownies. I explained they would help with their road safety badge and would be handy when we are out and about. I told them we have 20 Brownies. They emailed me back and said they would be delighted to help. Today a huge box arrived. They have sent me 100 !!!!!!! All the Brownies in the area are going to be dry and safe!
