Use home made vouchers to make someone smile at Christmas. Simply make vouchers that promise a special service when they're presented back to you "one washing up vouchers", "one back rub voucher", "one baby sitting while you go to the pub voucher".... use your imagination.
Why not print your own vouchers using this free site: https://www.fun-vouchers.co.uk with your own personalised message.

This is a great idea.
I gave babysitting vouchers to my sister last year and she said it was the best present she's ever had :xmassmileThe best things in life aren't things.0 -
OH did this for my birthday. It was for a cooked meal, hoovering for a week, tea making duty for a week and something else which I can't remember! This has just reminded me that I haven't used them yet!!1 I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and he'd forgotten too! Bet he's been searching high and low since so that he can rip them up quick! I think giving vouchers for your time is a great idea. If you don't have time to make your own there are some websites where you can print out these vouchers for free:

Did this for OH birthday on 1/12 very well received, the one pressie she wanted to tell people about!
All for the cost of an old jar and an A4 sheet. That is until she starts spending them!
She's waiting to spend the washing up one after the meal for all the family on boxing day!! :snow_laug0 -
I did this a while ago for my patner as we no longer wanted to give presents. Then you are not buying more stuff to clutter the house.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

I'm giving some to my boys (11 & 10yo's) :-
* half hour of my undivided attention
* an hour up the park (they like footie, I don't! This is a biggie! It's also hilarious - for them - watching me kicking a ball around)
* dinner of their choosing
* 1 hr internet time
* foot massage (yes, children like these too)
Those sorts of things ... children are just as appreciative of those things as adultsThe only thing is .. we'll have to have a "voucher-cashing-in-day" as it wouldn't be practical to present me with the park/footie voucher 10 mins before bedtime on a schoolnight
:rotfl:
Sorry Pink, just visited your links and see that the above has already been "covered"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Perhaps I'm just a miserable and ungrateful old b*tch then ... my beloved gave me a sheet of vouchers for Christmas this year ... for things like car washes, housework, special dinners etc. Unfortunately, whilst the thought is most definitely appreciated, the 99.5% certainty that he only made vouchers (which took him 10 minutes on the computer) so that he didn't have to get off his fat bum and go and actually BUY me something, isn't.
Bah, humbug!

So you'll get double pleasure out of using them then! Enjoy the satisfaction of watching him do all these jobs & if it's really hard work then he might change his mind & buy you something "proper" next year!0
