Free £15 itunes giftcard when you buy 2 chart cd's from Sainsburys

What's the deal?

Until 16 Nov buy two selected CDs from Sainsburys and you can get a free £15 iTunes card. The offer is available in 480 stores across the country. (So if you're making a special trip, check your store is participating before you go).

Even if you don't want both CDs it may be worth it.

If you were planning or are likely to spend £15 on iTunes anyway, then provided you want at least one of the CDs (or they'll fit as someone's Xmas gift) as the CDs cost £6 - £10 then this is worth it.

What CDs are included?

You need to buy two of the following CDs:

Mamma Mia - Original Sound Track
Sharleen Spiteri - Melody
James Morrison - Songs For You Truths For Me
BOYZONE - BACK AGAIN...NO MATTER WHAT
KAISER CHIEFS - OFF WITH THEIR HEADS
KATHERINE JENKINS - SACRED ARIAS
SNOW PATROL - A HUNDRED MILLION SUNS
ANASTACIA - HEAVY ROTATION
HAYLEY WESTENRA - RIVER OF DREAMS - VBO
Various Artists - POP PARTY 6
Andrea Bocelli - Incanto
Various Artists - Dreamboats and Petticoats 2

Anything else?

The iTunes giftcard is the usual one you can get so so would make an ideal Christmas pressie and doesn't need to be used within a certain time.

Some MoneySavers have reported the promotion is not with the usual CD display so keep an eye out or ask when you go in.

    Hello,

When you buy 2 (selected) chart cd's at Sainsbury's (instore) you get a free £15 itunes giftcard.

I was in Sainsbury's yesterday and noticed the offer flashed up on the plasma screen. It says stickered cd's only, and selected stores only, but there were no stickered stock. The offer only started yesterday apparently.

Away from the entertainment aisle was an empty cardboard stand advertising the offer.

I ended up buying 2 chart cd's, the free £15 itunes giftcard and a few reducted Halloween things for £23!!

The itunes giftcard makes a great Christmas present on it's own!!

(Does anyone know if you can buy songs from itunes to use on any MP3 player?? We dont have ipods, but do have Sony Ericsson music phones)

Cant believe this hasn't already been posted. Think it ends in December, but cant find anything about it on the Sainsbury's website.

The chart CDs will cost around £10, others around £6 or £7. MoneySavers below have reported the offer may not be displayed in the usual CD place so keep an eye out for it!

Not usually, they are sent as AAC files, with software restrictions so they only play on devices Apple approves.

There are software ways around it, and you can always burn them to CD and re-rip them but it's a bit of a longwinded way around

Yes you can if the song has a "+" sign next to it. when you download it, just right click in itunes and it should say "Convert to MP3". you may have to set this in the preferences but its very easy :)

Thanks for posting this. When you say selected chart CDs, do you know if this include new releases? I'm after the Snow Patrol one and could also get the Pink one for my niece - it would be well worth it to get the iTunes voucher. But I'm wondering if the titles included in the offer are maybe CDs which have been out for a while? Cheers!
  • it includes the snowpatrol one thats in the charts
  • Hi

Still not sure what titles are on this promo, and neither are Sainsbury's! There was no stickers on any stock, new or old.

I popped in after work and the staff had no clue, apparently the girl who stickers the stock is off and nobody knows which titles are included!

One assistant did say Pink was in the promotion though for the previous poster who wanted that and Snow Patrol.

If anyone has any luck let us know!

Also included James Morrison and a Pop Party CD which might be good for teenagers.
