Hi there.
My brother has done a cd of our photos for our wedding and used a programme that will now not allow us to print any off, which is such ashame as I was wanting a few printed. I would use the back up copies but he's working away and not back for a few weeks yet.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me is there anyways of breaking the lock on this programme?
It's a slideshow, and has music etc on it?
cheers.

If you browse the cd what files are on it and what is the extension, need to know that to work out what software has been used ?0

Try inserting a photo you want to print into a Word document then print the Word document.0

You haven't given details of what the file format of the photos are or what program you're using is. If it's locked because it's a trial then obviously asking to break it is against forum rules since it's illegal. It could be that free software would be appropriate to use or print from. I use picasa as a general photo manager. http://picasa.google.com/"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

View the picture fullscreen on your PC. Then Press "PrintScrn" on your keyboard. Open Microsoft Paint (Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint). Select Edit/Paste. If a dialog box appears asking if you wish to enlarge the size of the bitmap (whoa there) click "OK". Then File/Save as, select file type as "JPEG Image (*.jpg)", save wherever you want. You should be able to print the resulting picture.#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET

I looked at the properties of the disc and it says the type of file is an application and that it is a .exe file... it also has in the attributes a tick next to read only.
so i'm guessing it's the type that would not be able to do. I don't wanna get into trouble or anything like that so i think i'll just leave it and wait for my bro to come home on the safe side.....

An .exe is a binary file and as it rightly says is an application or program. There's no way of extracting the photos unless that feature is built in to the program. It can't be read or edited by anything either. At best you'd have to do "Print Screen" on your keyboard for every photo as it came up but that's obviously not ideal. You'll have to get the photos off your brother as he's put them into a program that's basically compiled and can't be reversed and what you're after is the actual photo files which essentially don't exist on the CD as you've described."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
