slow cooker

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

Sainsbury's is selling own brand slow cookers for the bargain price of £9.98. The offer's on until 14 October at 317 stores. To avoid a wasted trip, use the store locator on the Sainsburys website to find your nearest store and give them a ring to check the offer's on and in stock. There are rumours a similar cooker is available at Tesco too.

Slow cookers are a fab way to make quick and tasty meals and come highly recommended by regulars on this site's Old Style board. If you're new to slow cooking, have a read of the Slow Cooker Questions thread.

  • I can't find anything on the Aldi website that shows there is going to be a slow cooker for £20 or any other price. PLEASE can you tell me where you found that info?

I was told in Sainsburys yesterday (out of stock) that when they get a new delivery they'll be back up to full price again. Looks like i missed out :(
  • I think you'll find that when you access Aldi's website, they don't show retrospective offers -- only up-coming.
Having said that, they had -- on offer from last Sunday, [5th Oct] -- a large [6.5 litre capacity] electric, slow cooker @ £19.99.
As with all aldi's electrical items, they give a 3 year warranty which is often better [and cheaper] than the manufacturer's direct sales [e.g. Medion IT items].
Personally, I use Aldi whenever possible as I find their products to be of forst class quality, decent price and backed up with the aforementioned warranties.- and an efficient customer helpline.
P.S. I do not work for Aldi, nor do I have any other connection [except as a customer!]

The slow cooker was going to be on sale from Sunday 5th, but I saw a notice in my Aldis saying due to problems this would not be available now. HTH

I went to Sainsburys yesterday and they had several on the shelves. When I went back today they had the same amount but the price had gone back up to £19.99! They said 'special' prices can change any Wednesday - just my luck!!

Tesco in Sudbury have loads at £10, Tesco Bury St Edmunds had them last week but I think they're all gone now. My mum bought one after I pointed them out, said it's great.
  • Tesco have a 3.3Lt slow cooker for £9.96 I think.

Good value and a reasonable size if you don't want anything too big.

Great for cooking cheaper cuts of meat to make a delicious meal.

None in Swansea, in fact there was only 1 slo-cooker in the store and that was a brand name at £20+!
