keep your previous one in case you lose this one. That's what I use (although it is gutting when you do lose your latest one!)0

LLoyds TSB include mobile phone insurance with some of their current accounts. It probably isn't worth having one of these accounts just for the phone insurance - check to see if the other benefits make them worth the extra money.
Details here.0 -

don't know if this is the cheapsest way to insure but I have a lloyds tsb select account and that gives me free phone insurance and as it is a joint account mine and partners phones are insured in the £7.00 account charge that we pay each month, we also get aa breakdown cover, free sentinel card insurance, and £50.00 interest free overdraft, and other freebies you get now an then, not bad for two people works out £3.50 each a month. hope this is of some help

If you have house contents insurance that includes "Items insured outside your home" (sometimes called "All Risks") then the handset will be covered for accidental damage and theft, but not a pure loss such as leaving it on a bus. Nor will it cover you for calls made after the phone has been lost/stolen, though many policies sold by the networks and resellers have sweeping exclusions for such claims anyway.0

We must have been typing at the same time. I didn't realise it's the same rate for joint accounts. If both parties get the benefits then it is a bargain.bamberbamboo wrote:great minds think alike !! lol, you just beat me there
Otherwise, it's probably worth it if you also want the other services that are included in the package.0 -
Your home insurance maybe able to offer cover ,for example for a small premium Direct Line offer up to £1500 of cover for carried personal possesions inc laptops, phones, and jewellery. Might be worth checking with your insurance company.0
