Are you due a tax refund

Do you have any children born between 1985 and 2003?
- If so you could be due £1040. Parents are allowed to claim for the 02-03 tax year
- You are entitled to a refund if you had one child that was under 16 at the start of 2002 – 2003
- At least one parent had to be employed in any year from 2002 - 2003 and is not available if both parents or the only parent in the household were on benefits. Working tax credit should not have an impact on your eligibility for children's tax credit. We will however assess your claim once we receive the return of your claim pack!

This is all about tax credits and as far as I know the deadline was end of January 08.
Here's a thread all about it;

If you ever think you are due a refund don't pay a company to get it for you. Simply contact HMRC who will do it all for you for nothing!0 -
As said above write a letter to your tax office.
I think that you can only do it for the 03 tax year now as the date passed for the 02 one.
Take a look of the thread posted above.0 -

Is it to late to claim for the 1985-2003 years? On this website it says between 1986 and 2003.

Its too late to claim for 2001-2002 tax year. But you can still claim for the 2002-2003 tax year. Don't use any third party website. Do it yourself, contact HMRC by a letter. You will find some templates and all of the info needed in the thread.

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

after several hours of investigating this tax, i have discovered that if your final tax code on your april 2003 P60 ended in either a T or H then you would have already had this money...however if your tax code ended in any other letter then it is likely that you are owed a rebate and it would be worth while getting in touch with your local tax office...I think it would also be worth pointing out that the deadline for claims is the 31st of january 2009.......sadly it also appears that I have already had this money xx0
