I was in the shopping centre yesterday and got cornered by an Eon salesman. He offered to check out on his handheld thingummy the best deal for me by doing a comparison. Interestingly he knew nothing about the npower Spreading Warmth tarrif, so I succinctly informed him clearly he and his company were in no position to give people the best advice.
He wasn't too thrilled to be told that by a pensioner ! Tough !!.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I'm certain that those schemes are dearer than even the standard tarrifs offered by the utility companies operating them. You need to do a comparison of the price per unit for each scheme. I did check out the Help the Aged one a couple of years back and posted in a thread on here showing what a scam it was.0 -
I switched to npower SOL10 tariff after discovering, courtesy of a link on this site, that I could save 24% on my bills.
Today I called them to ask about the Spreading Warmth Tariff and was underwhelmed to say the least.
I would have to switch back to my more expensive tariff as it was not available on my present one. So instead of getting £250 credit on my dual fuel I would, in reality, only be getting £64. So it's give with one hand and claw back as much as possible with the other.:(0 -
A saving of £64 is still a saving of £64..................
