An electric shower basically means that the shower uses electricity to heat the water as it passes through the shower. The advantage of this is that you don't need to have any hot water in your hot water tank in order to have a shower, also only need to plumb it into the cold supply. The disadvantage is that they are usually a bit weak, as they can only heat so much water at once.
A power shower uses an electic pump to boost the pressure, and give you a more powerful shower. The result is a great shower that uses loads of water, not that eco friendly or moneysaving friendly if you have a water meter.0 -

Thanks guys, I'm leaning towards going for one with a built in pump fed from the cold water tank, next question, what does the power rating affect, is it a case od the higher the power the better, will it heat more water quickly and improve the pressure coming out of the shower head?0
