Now that National Express are on the concessionary system, does that mean that the people in Scotland can now ride a National Express coach for free? Before we had to ride and claim our money back. Has that changed?Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0

My mum is about to turn 60 and I wanted to get her some info for places to travel by bus, etc. She lives in Dartford in Kent. Can anyone help me please?0

As the powers-that-be haven't seen fit to preserve this info as a 'sticky', I've now set it up on a separate web page which will be easier to link future queries to.0

I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but the other day, I went onto Google Maps to identify a route and noticed that once I had put in the post codes for start and destination for my itendedjourney, that an option had appeared entitled "Public Transit".
Out of curiosity I selected it and was presented with a comprehensive bus route between the two points, including little maps for getting from one bus terminus to the next at interchange points. Might be useful for some of the more unusual journeys. Mine was from a village in Buckinghamshire to Eastbourne and it sent me via Heathrow, Gatwick and Brighton. Certainly doo-able even if it took 5and1/2 hours!
Check it out........0 -

We were told the leytr website would be back - but that looks unlikely now.
The only other link not working was (OF COURSE) a government one!0 -

Good point LesD - I had the temerity to put something on here and got politely directed to you know who. I find this thread a little more personal and exciting. Androcles had a GREAT discovery with her Google expedition. Tried it and it worked. Thought I might toddle on down to Falmouth for the Oyster festival in a week. All by bus of course.
