  • the best things in life are free....

spoke to my parents earlier on, and my mum has somehow managed to get a whole moses basket, with stand, and bedding from friend at work, for free...

And theyve bought us a cot, from ebay, mamas and papas one...

And my dad was saying when they come up to visit, they'll take us out shopping for travel system, in his words "so we know we're buying you the right one height wise and everything".....

Despite my previous moodiness (which i am now completely blaming on pregnancy hormones), I feel a lot better now...

Thanks for all your labour vibes - however, can I beg for some more please? I'm still here. Had a mad hour of contractions earlier that were really stong and lasting over a minute - I thought - yay!! Anyway, after an hour they stopped -now nothing. Have been for a long walk at local national trust and out to dinner... thought it had done the trick - obviously not. I now have exactly 12 hours before I have to phone the delivery suite and go in for induction

Thanks Nikkit and jha for concerns over infection, but, I was a planned home birth so have had 2 different midwife visits who have checked my vitals, I was given 36 hours from waters braking (ish) for anything to happen, if not I need to go in to hospital - I guess everywhere is different.

Am really dreading going in to hospital, I just know if it gets to that, all the reasons for why I want to be at home will drive me to distraction... Oh, well, I guess I just need to go with the flow... _pale_

Hope PP and jha are good and massive labour vibes to you...

Thanks again for all your well wishes, will keep you posted, but I don't have a phone with internet connection, so if I do end up in, it will be a few days... :(

32b - eww at nose bleed explosion! Nice you got to see the bells in with your Mum, but sorry your dad is dealing too well xx

Kindof - Not all the shops were open but the ones we wanted were so that was fab, and it was so quiet made for a lovely easy shopping trip.

jha - are the shower curtains not uncomfy and noisy?

Well fab lil shopping trip, picked up some fab bargains in Tesco home, an xmas sleeping bag in the sale for baby girl £4, a camera case for new camera, Calendar also in sale, and spent my xmas money on books and new charms for my braclet. We also picked up a few other bits to put away for next Xmas. Am keen to start the tradition of Xmas eve hamper thingy as mentioned on another thread, I know she'll only be 9months so will keep it simple but figure some new xmas pjs and maybe a book for bedtime would be nice to start :D
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls
    Working on baby no2 :D
  • Hi ladies,

Just thought I'd pop in so you don't forget me! Last time I checked I was 16th on the list:eek: Less than 5 weeks to go now so should really pack my hospital bag soon...

Big labour vibes for PP, jha and jonno :D

Not much to tell, missed New Year, was in bed by 11pm :o Xmas was fabulous but ended up at the hospital Boxing Day as my hands and feet had swollen to bursting but it seems I just did too much, all back to normal now :o Finally got my MA approved, just waiting for it to be backdated now. It's quite good I have no pennies until it gets paid as I'd probably spend it all in the sales on clothes for the baby girl :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a brand new year and decade x
  • Good luck Jonno, how about trying the infamous star jump contraction boosting technique? :D
PP have things kicked off for you?
Labour vibes to you both and JHA!!!
