    I agree with dmg24... we do need the main board.. the general discussion, and then have the more particular sub boards...

    Someone just asked about a particular Airline and it has been moved to the Itineraries board.

    What exactly is allowed on this board?

    And im not being funny, just wondering.

    I like this set of three very much, and I don't think it could be contracted into just two. 'Airlines' should be kept together: making a distinction into 'budget', 'charter' and 'full-service' will only confuse some people (does everyone know the difference?); in any case there's simply too much crossover for it to be effective. I'm not sure what the conclusion was for the 'insurance' question, but perhaps we could make the last one 'Flights, Holiday Money & Travel Insurance'?

    How about we leave it as it was:confused:
    So what if a question gets asked over and over again. If it doesn't interest you then move on. If the poster gets no replies then they should have read the sticky about how the board works first and used the search button. There must be 4 discussions on different threads going on at the moment about this subject. Lets get back to the job in hand, talking holidays:T
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    well, the reason we're all discussing it, is to view our opinions on whether the trial board, of having the itineraries / general help on a sub board is working...

    lots of thread moving, not very much consistency... so, we've been batting around ideas etc, and then we'll see what happens..

    the original all in 1 board is messy, which might be why all the repeated posts...


    on the insurance front, martin said that he didn't want to put that anywhere else, as there is already an insurance board, so holiday insurance gets bundled on the main board regardless.. no biggy really, as there ain't that many posts on holiday insurance here anyway...

    I'm slightly consfused about "Deals & Special Offers" would a flight sale go in there or the other sub board. While the structure is right i think we need a little more clarification of the wording.

    A flight sale would go in the Deals and special Offers.

    Questions about who's the cheapest\best airline for a route or general baggage Q's should go in the Airlines sub board.

    I agree with this ... if it has to change at all. ;)

    I don't see the logic in putting Holiday Money with Airlines - would money not be better with other planning issues (with a big old constructive sticky)? It seems like it is being stuck there because there is nowhere else to put it?

    i'm adamant the holiday money goes somewhere but the main board... the amount of threads about money, and the amount of threads about airlines, will work out to be a reasonably busy board.

    the main board will then get used for good quality questions, with all the deals on one board for people to see.. hotels, flights, package, etc, all the bargains to be had..

    so like today, there should be a post about the lastminute.com 2 for 1 offer starting at 8.30pm, then people know..

    I agree. There's no reason a sub-board can't have two subjects, and given that they both come up often I think it makes sense to put them in together.

    In that case, how about simplifying it further and removing the duplication of 'airlines' and 'flights'?
