I'm sure I do - i'm just starting to panic that everything will look crap tgether (even though mum said i looked beautiful the other day when I tried it all!!).

I'm a natural born worrier about things like this lol. I have done some treadmill time tonight so am feeling a bit better

this is a pic of me in mine - its actually last season's Roman Originals dress :)
It looks gorgeous & you look lovely, I'm positive you will look gorgeous on the day. I know exactly what you mean about the worrying thing, I go from who do I think I'm kidding planning to wear a gorgeous dress to having a wee smile to myself imagining me & my oh getting married.
Bet your on here in a few weeks with some fab photos telling us what a brilliant day you had & how beautiful everyone said you were. :grouphug:

  • aww thanks :)

That pic was taken sometime last year - my hair is much longer than that now :) I've avoided posting a pic before now becasue a couple of my aunts are on MSE too heh.

OMG I know exactly what you mean about 'who am I kidding' - I feel like that today, but I think thats because I had my bestie here last night and we drank a lot of wine and now I have the hangover paranioa..

I'll delete the link from my quote if you want don't want your aunts seeing your dress before the big day.
Alcohol is so bad for making me gloomy the next day. Can be fun at the time though. Don't worry it will be fine. x

I have spoken to Milly and to ask how alike the dresses will be and they are saying that they won't be identical. So now I'm worrying that it will be so different and as it is a simple dress I will be so upset if it is completely different. I don't know what to do now. Anyone with a Milly dress can you post pics of the original and your dresss so I can compare. what a wobble I'm having, Tiger x

Tigerlilley, I really wouldn't worry too much. They cant make an exact copy or they'd be in breach of copyright and the designers could sue, they just make a tweak here and a tweak there; maybe the beading design is slightly different that alone stops it being a true copy.
From what I've seen of other Milly/Landy dresses they are as close to the pic you send as they can be.
I can't reassure you anymore as we haven't actually had one, we're still looking but I've done a lot of research! lol

Actually Sal, they can and do make exact copies as they seem to be "outside" of copyright laws. However, Tiger, I'm sure everything will be fine. Just not sure why they are telling you they won't be the same but have the original picture on their web site!

Well have just been on online chat with Springna and have decided to have the neckline different anyway, straight across instead of a sweetheart, so who knows, but I think I will still order as I can't justify what the bridal shop is asking for the dress. It's hard to make the decision lol, but if it isn't right I will have to sell my soul on Ebay to pay for the proper one. God knows what it will be like when I've ordered it, I am the most impatient person in the world lol!! Tiger x

Oh Tiger I'm the same I want to see it NOW, not ordering til next week, I'm so impatient. I am sure it will be fine , and you will have the reassurance of looking at pic's & can say I want it this way or that way. Which I think is what I need I'd be terrified to open the package if I just oredered & never saw it again. People have these worries even if they pay thousands & order direct from the designer.

Oh dear, just got an email from Milly they are having problems they are doing my dd's flowergirl dress too--
Milly Bridal is very sorry to let you know that your order might be delayed, because 2 of our senior pattern makers are taking leaves (Milly Bridal has 5 senior pattern makers in design section). One staff is taking one month sick leave, and the other staff’s mother got stomach cancer, and is taking 3 week leave. The temporary leave of the 2 staffs in pattern section has slow down the production progress. We have estimated that the incident could result 2-3 week delays for some of the custom design orders, especially during the pattern and first 3 production stages. Can you tell us the latest date you need to get the dress?

Milly Bridal sincerely apologizes for the order delay. This small incident would not affect our product quality and service standards. The 2 senior pattern makers would get back in 3-4 weeks. Here, we’d also like to thank all our valued customers for your full supports. Without you, Milly Bridal won’t make any success. Thank you again for your understanding and support.

I've emailed them back saying I do need it for August, so everyones finger's X'd for us please.
