  • Is a token given in The Mail on all 7 days of the week?

There is no point sending each other your code via PM, as each code can be used once only, and they have a recording of your address so they know who to actually send the monitor too :)

Apparently it's the same code given out to everyone! Not sure if them asking for name/address may be a bit of a bluff, tbh, but who knows?
    Call me Carmine....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
  • could somebody pm be the code
    thanks in advance

Anyone know if the code is available in the papers on Sat and Sun as well? Also, it says that the token will be available until Sept 26th (clicky) Does anyone know if the token will be printed on the 26th as well? I got my first copy today so if it is not printed on the weekend and the 26th I'll be well short :o Possibly try and get some old copies

What do these energy monitors actually do? I know if I leave lights on and things on standby I am wasting electricity. I am not going to stop using a hairdryer because it uses lots of energy or sit shivering because I have turned down the heating.
Will I learn something new or is it something I will use for a week, checking everything, and then forget about it.

I think it is mainly to monitor usage patterns. If you notice the energy consumption still high in the night when you are asleep, you can investigate and shutdown those appliances (chargers, tvs, dvds, monitors, computers etc). People say that they notice a 25% drop in energy consumption by monitoring and simply turning off devices that are not required. I guess once you're happy with the setup you might not monitor it as much

    Hope this helps

Yes for your required usage as they give far more accurate readings than the Owl monitor and store cumulative usage.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

True, I have one from maplin. The real problem, however, is getting to the sockets to monitor them since they are in a corner and getting to them is a pain. Hopefully the owl monitor should sort that out for me  also planning on getting a few remote controlled sockets so I can switch devices off without getting bent out of shape :D

Thanks. Is one better than the other? Maplin says it has a memory function.
