I never got an email saying the connection fee has gone up !"The time is always right to do what is right"0

I have the log-in page saved in my favourites, so i have no need to go thru' the main site to check my calls amount, hence i wouldn't notice the price increase message, so it isn't very good PR to put the price up without actually notifying EVERY customer personally with an email, the first you'd notice was when checking the current call amount.
I do have a dialler and have now set it for 18185 for 01/02 calls, as i already use it for mobiles and non-geo calls, so one less bill to look out for, as i was only using 1899 for 01/02 calls.0 -
I called a mobile using 18185 today and I'm sure it said 6ppm. Has it gone up (from 5ppm)?0

Yes it has just gone up to 6p a minute midweek but down to 6p a minute for cable users which is good news for them0

Notifications of increased charges (increased connection charges, billing per minute etc) are usually hidden at the bottom of the "special offer" emails. If you actually call countries listed in their special offers, you may notice that special offers are not that special (eg. I have noticed special offers on calls to Canada which are no cheaper than the usual price) so are really just a distraction. I don't know if this applies to all of the offers or just some. So any time you see a special offer email and none of the headline rates are of interest, always scroll down to the bottom to see what they have hidden there.0 -

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Via a mate of mine ( hello Winton ) informing me of 1899 putting up their prices, I thought I'd pass it on.
Yes, 1899 have just increased their charges from 3p to 4p ; naughty without e-mailing customers about this , as the next bill ( without checking invoices ) would be higher than expected. I urge any & every 1899 customer to e-mail them saying how ' naughty ' it is to increases charges without informing their customers first !0 -

If it wasn't for this site, i wouldn't have any idea of what these companies were up to, don't get me wrong, they are quite cheap compared to what most of the telecom giants charge, but i still think if they can generate new bill emails without any problems, then surely it can't be too much of a problem creating a mailshot that they are changing prices to ALL their customers.
Regarding the 18185 mobile charge of 6p, never had any notification of that either, other than reading it just now here, the 1st i would of known of it, would of been the "6p per minute" message when making the call!0 -
I've never had this e-mail either. It was also surprising that I didn't get the usual e-mail last time telling me my new bill was ready to be collected by direct debit as I usually do. The first I knew was when I saw the debit on my bank statement.0
