I'm assuming we'll get asked to provide details of a new ISA for the FSCS to deposit to, or they'll send us something that indicates to a new bank that it's come from the FSCS compensation claim and is to be treated as an existing ISA.

I must admit I'd been assuming the latter, but as you suggest we'll just have to wait and see.

Hi folks, I've moved this thread over to the ISAs sub-board :)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

What to convert my IceSave ISA to?

Finally get the motorbike fixed up properly. As much alcohol as I can drink. Weekend trip to Venice with the first girl to put her hand up when I ask. Take my sister skydiving. Spend the damn stuff on memories as fast as I can.

Heyyy - you talka my language Jimmy
• Well my ISA was my savings for my 0% CCs.... I'm tempted just pay them off and cut them up!

• There are quite a few fixed rate ISAs in this thread that beat Britannia:

Not sure which one offers the best balance between low penalty and interest rate though. Anyone have an opinion?

Really? Would you care to point them out please as I can't seem to find any.

There are several on the post showing better rates, although the fixed-rate periods may not be as long (whether they are still available or not is another matter, *** indicates known to be withdrawn).....

• There's a few others floating around that beat 6.1% that aren't listed. Stroud and Swindon: 6.25% for one. They may have been pulled, but no more likely to have been than Britania.
