Morning All.
Hope all those with proper amounts of snow are warm and dry indoors. I have to say its rather disappointing here, roads are bad as they have frozen hail under the thin layer of snow (and of course are not gritted:rolleyes:) but other than that its not exactly a whiteout.

No extra snow here but it is flippin freezing and thus is too cold for more snow:rolleyes: Saying that I would love a dumping of snow - it is easier to drive on than ice.
Had a stinky night last night - the power went off at 8.15pm - its not nice being in the cold and the pitch black. Eventually got through to central networks to be told that loads of people had rung and I could I please ring back at 11pm which I did to be told that there was another underground cabling fault:mad: Managed to finish off my book with the aid of my wind up torch (lots of winding needed) and eventually went to bed - wore bedsocks, pyjama bottoms, my sweatshirt and I wrapped my fleecy blanket around me as it retained warmth from when I was using it in the living room. The power is now back on and have nearly thawed out - it was -4 here last night:eek: I have a plan of action today - each time I boil the kettle I shall top up a flask so that if the power goes again that I can at least have a hot drink.0 -

Wasn't that the objective of the trip, Numpty? Sounds like a result to me :rotfl::rotfl:
Tixy - same here, nasty frozen hail, lovely to walk on, nearly went a**e over tip when I went outside this morning...
Horace, brrrrr.... not a good time for another power cut:eek:, good idea about the flask though.
Hope everyone else is well and managing to stay warm. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Bump from half way down page 2.
Ooh, poor you Horace. Good idea re the flasks, maybe you could prep a hot water bottle a bit later on as well.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Evening all.
Poor old Horace - perhaps you ought to stock up on thermal undies in the sales. Hope that was not the first of many power cuts. How on earth would we survive without electricity or gas?
Did anyone hear the end of Terry's show? I heard some of it en route from work, but missed the end. Apparently the last song of the show was going to be a bit of a tear jerker. My guess was Tel's duet with Aled Jones "Little Drummer Boy" - am I right or shall I just crawl back into my box and shut up?One life - your life - live it!0
