No haven't been out today. I'm skint now after all of my recent Bootsing and I'm trying really hard to resist some more Blue S&G stuff with the points offer.
Sounds like you found a lovely SA (although I've yet to find a not-so-lovely one). Why don't I have customers like you in my shop?:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
I'm quite impressed by that post I just made
lol
It's the first post where I've managed to double quote! Thanks Scorpiokitten for the instructions you posted earlier. I've been wondering for ages how you guys do it, lol.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
Well off to bed for me now before I go posting anymore expired offers, lol.
Good luck to the early bird bargain hunters, although I guess you'd have to search for the bargains now they've removed the clearance page.

I have no idea what I'm still doing up but I am going now.
I just noticed that your in Warrington, not a million miles away from me (Wirral) in fact my Mum lives in Grappenhall. It's nice to see local Bootsers, then we can share the bargains at our local stores:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
Was thinking....
I like Boots offers as much as the next woman but I'm also reluctant to spend actual ££££ folding cash on things that I don't really need or want. That's not to say I don't do it, but I do my best not to just buy an offer because it's a bargain! For instance, I've got a good handful of the S&G 200 points vouchers in my purse and know that 400 points back on a £5 item is a very good deal, but...I don't want to spend the £5 to get it. Especially as I'm not that fond of S&G, TBH.
Whereas yesterdays deal of spend £10 on a reduced Sanctuary set, get £20+ worth of products + GWP + £6 of Sanctuary vouchers had me digging in my purse for £20 for two sets, because I love Sanctuary.
Anyway, my question is: What's more important to you when looking out for bargains? The points or the £££s? For instance, do you prefer a £5 item with 400 free points, or a £5 item reduced to £1, whether with actual cash off or a voucher? Because it seems to me that there's currently less talk of the very good BOGOFs running (which is 50% off, after all, with usually a good choice of products) and more of buys like "Buy Item X for £Y, get Z-00 points back", where the points value is often less than 50% anyway.
Points or ££££s, when all else is equal? Spend your cash now and save points up on your card in lieu? Or buy less, have less points but more £££s in your pocket?Val.0 -
Has anyone been clever enough to find any more 75% off bargains still in stock ? It's like finding your way through a maze ! Managed to get 1 or 2 fisher price toys before they sold out - thanks to the person who spotted them (can't find who it was).

Hi Bootsters,
I prefer pounds in my pocket, but if there is an offer on a product I like, I will stock up to collect points or freebies. I couldn't resist the Illum offer and the GWP offer where you ended up with an Illum powder, GWP, a product from the No7 range minus the £5 pink voucher getting everything for aprox £7 plus bonus points. I would't pay full price for No7 but when it is on offer I will stock up and collect any bonus points.
I am guilty of adding things to my basket to get free bonus points but I try to put things like soap, hand wash, toothpaste, sanitary towels etc on bogof offer so it is still a bargain. I try not to buy things I won't use just because it comes with a free gift, but of course I cannot resist the odd treat for myself. I recently bought 2 x Juicy tunes lip glosses and got the free bag which contained another lip gloss with other goodies, plus another gift bag containing eyeshadow and brushes, so I consider that a luxury treat for myself.

I know what you mean - I sometimes have to remind myself that I'm actually spending £5 (even though I'm getting 400 points back) for the S&G items. Didn't bother with S&G stuff as I'm only on a limited budget (aren't we all!).
I also remind myself that Boots is a lot more expensive than other chemists/supermarkets and bear this in mind when shopping.
My rule is, only buy if it is virtually free (after points) or if an item is reduced by 75%-ish.
However, I love Boots as a shopping experience compared to budget chemists - I LOVE IT !!!! :rotfl: (Hysterical laughter)..........0
