hi guys, just got a little question for your wise brains. Am in the unfortunate position of having my mum's birthday AND mothers day in the same weekend and she is in need of some protect and perfect. I have a £5 off voucher but was wondering what the pc voucher was and if it could only be used online? also is there any particular way of getting a good deal on no7 things for her? I'm happy to buy more than just the cream if I can get a good deal, she's worth it:D

    Hi there,
Have you seen the protect & perfect gift sets? They are £20, and as well as getting a full sized protect & perfect beauty serum, you also get 6 or 7 mini sized trial products. Some of these are also in the protect & perfect range, and others include hand cream, toner etc.

It's available online as well- not sure how to do a link properly but hopefully this will work, just so you know what you're looking for: http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1093988&classificationid=1052492

If you manage to track one down in store, you should also be able to use your £5 pink No. 7 voucher, as well as getting the free pink jewelry box (current gift with purchase for spending over £20 on No.7).

Also there is a voucher in the boots health & beauty mags for a free highlighter when you buy any other No. 7 product, so if you can track down one of those you could get her that as well!

The PC vouchers are from the Parenting Club, and can only be used in store I think.

    Hiya!

I would buy her the P&P Gift set at £20, get a GWP, use the £5 off voucher and any extra points from the ACM.

Then you would get another £5 voucher back to spend - you could buy her another item from the P&P range, say the eye cream at £15.50, pick up a highlights powder, and a free GWP, hand over the £5 voucher, then the highlights voucher, another total spend points from the ACM, Pay £10.50 cash!!;)

There you go :D Excellent minx 01, I'd forgotten all about the P&P! :o :rotfl:

Back on track and topic lol.

Still no reduced Valentines gifts in Hull area or surrounding areas. I'll look again tomorrow ;)

Boots Expert Scar Serum - Recommendation

I was wondering if anyone else has been using the Expert scar serum. I started using it 3/4 weeks ago, and I am amazed by it.

I had a total knee replacement just over 12 months ago and the scar is massive. (8 inches/20cms) Parts of it are keloid which basically means lumpy, red and raised.

Since I have been using the serum, it has not only lightened it considerably, but also softened the keloid part greatly. It is now far less raised and paler in colour

If it has the effect on large scarring I can certainly recommend it for lesser scars or stretchmarks etc. In the past I have paid a lot of money for Cica care gel, and had very little to show for my money.

Well worth the money. I am going to stock up while it is reduced. Is £3.99 from £5.99. Also an ACM voucher for 100pts.

Maybe a little late in answering this (just got in from parent's evening) but I too have been amazed at how good this serum is. I've up to now been using bio-oil for my lovely stretch marks and I hate the fact that it's soo greasy and drips all over the place. Also I've not seen any real improvement. Since using the Boots serum my skin is much smoother and softer and the red stretch marks are turning a light pink. It's lovely to put on and makes my hands feel really nice afterwards as well. The price is very reasonable and with the extra points I have also stocked up. :T

It's a real gem and a huge thanks to the poster who originally posted this information - sorry I don't remember who is was. :A

I think this should be put in bold hogshead, because there may be people out there, without advantage cards, who haven't taken advantage of this loophole. And believe me, I'm sure that Boots are rubbing their hands because of it. They must be praying at the altar of Martin Lewis after he published it in his mailshot lol.

What I can't get over, and I'm just as guilty myself of this lol, is the ways and means people go to get this highlighter. We act like we're on some sort of SAS mission - to avoid any No 7 SA's!! It's a loophole, and one that has probably helped Boots' profits no end!

It's a legal loophole people, if it hadn't have been, I'm certain Martin definitely wouldn't have sent the tip out to millions of people, and worse still (according to my local No7 SA), advertised it on the telly! :D Now go out and get them lol.

So there you go, my rant, and tip for the day :D x
I agree, if Boots had meant this offer to go to AC holders only, then they would have made it an ACM offer only and/or sent out one voucher per AC holder in a mailing.
Each time they give away a powder they sell at least one other No7 item at full price (though they didn't reckon on Bootsers spotting the bargain price glitches such as combining it with reduced items and GWP :rotfl: )

Does this scar cream help on old scars that have faded to white? Will it get rid of the white scar?

No it wont get rid of the white scar.
Once a scar has reached the'white stage' thats as good as it gets.
You will never fade it past that.

Take it from someone who has had many many operations. It will help with redness and raised area. But white is good. :A
