Burnt pan

Hiya
Help needed please! My hubbys best mate came to stay and cooked us a meal. He made rice which he stirred!!!! Obviously the rice stuck to my super duper stainless steel pan. I have burned stuff before and it always comes off dead easy. Anyway, I caught him scraping the pan into the bin with a metal knife (!!!???!!!). I stopped him immediately and put cold water into the pan. When I looked at it later it was really bad so I put in some hot water and bio washing powder. It has been soaking for 3 days now with no change  . I am soaking it in white vinegar at the moment but it doesnt seem to be helping. Any suggestions are more than welcome....
Thanks
SAM xx

Try filling the pan with water and bio powder and heating it up to boiling point, then turn off the heat and leave it overnight..........

I burnt my frying pan yesterday boo hooo,
Luckily my mum was there and she said when she lived in Kenya they used to put loads of salt in the pan and put it over a low heat, then rub round and round with a paper towel or tea towel, keep adding salt and rubbing...
It worked for my pan and its nice and shiny again! just watch u dont burn your fingers!
Hope that helps0 -
If it's non-stick, flat cola, boiled up, can work too.0

I wouldn't advise it. If you check the link I gave a few minutes ago there are more ideas, one of which is using salt!

The original old fashioned tip was to boil rhubarb leaves in the pan - as they are poisonous they are difficult to get hold of now!"This site is addictive!"
