There are good points to dollar inflation and a sub prime/housing bubble/bank bankrupcy debacle.

Well this is all true if anyone was as clever as you were 3 months ago. Congratulations on your fantastic foresight .
But that aside, is this a serious recommendation for new investors (reasons awaited), a ramp for your existing investments or merely a "look at me & my achievements" post?0 -
Neither im just having a giggle, see what others thoughts are and if anyone else is currently trading the same.
It could be a recommendation but only for those that know what they are doing on the stockmarket. As with anything DYOR and on your head be it.
But while this mess is still unfolding its a good sector to be trading IMO.0 -
Then you're better off swimming in the same pool (another website) with other speculative investor sharks, rather than gloating over us poor minnows.0

Im not a shark im a young maths graduate, working donkey miles away from london.
Loads of people trade stocks on this website, in fact this forums full of nothing but equity fund discussion at the moment.0 -
Investing long term in equities is not the same as speculating on gold.
And your reading of the forum is very subjective.0 -

Flipping heck! Someone got up out the wrong side of bed this morning!!!
I can't see whats wrong with letting people know about an investment success you've had? This is a forum after all where most investment subjects are open to debate! He's also given some insight into a market some people may not have looked into and to which as Yant says, do your own reading and make your own judgement on it.
Chill out man, fair play to the fella! Well done Yant I say and thanks for the heads up!0 -
Check out the miners today, especially Rio. Unbelievable.BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

Fair comment. It'd be nice if MSE management were to allow unbridled discussion of shares and other market issues.
Usually dunstonh comes on to witter endlessly & implausibly about "financial advice" & "FSA regulations".
I can't see any discussion or arguments about future market trends on this thread, yet, though. Over to Yant1 to start some.0 -

You can get some very in depth discussion about particular shares on TMF, and other forums. This forum is very different in "atmosphere" to others, and I pretty much like it as it is. I wouldn't want it to turn into a TMF (or ADVFN!).Debbie0
