I would be interestedI'd be interested! I think I'll probably have exams that week, but would try to make it otherwise. Will keep an eye on plans, but can't definitely say at this stage until I get my timetable (have voted yes in the poll to let you know)
Cheers!noramc

I would be interestedWhat a great idea! I would love to come along. I've put the 1st and 2nd in my diary...
Looking forward to it!:D
Thanks Edinburghlass!:TIf it was easy, everyone would do it!0 -
I would be interestedLike Topsie, or is it Toozie, this is growing and growing
For our visitors to Edinburgh, keep me up to speed with your plans while I book out the nearest large hoteland for those more local I think its looking like 1st September for the actual meet but this could be spread over a few days the way things are going!
For all those that were too scared to come to the last one, please think about coming this time and if you don't want to put your name to this thread please pm me for more details.0 -

I second that.........the last Edinburgh meet was great fun and it was really good to be able to put faces to names.
I was terrified last time. I sat on the plane wondering if I'd completely taken leave of my senses, but there really was nothing to worry about. Everyone, without exception, was lovely

Drink and walking tourI can't believe I'm the only one who wants to do the walking tour! Come on you lot, surely some of you want to play? (I was born and brought up in Edinburgh but never did any of the 'touristy' things and I fancy this one.......but not by myself.......I'm scared.)
:rotfl:
Agree with Pink......I was terrified when I joined in with the last Edinburgh meet but I'm really glad I did, everyone was great. I have to say I'm looking forward to meeting up again........(only this time I'm staying in the Travel Lodge.)(Private joke with one of my new[ish] MSE friends from the last meet.)

It just so happens I might be working in Glasgow in August - if not DW has been pestering me to take her back to Edinburugh for a couple of days. Mmmmmmmm ... must have a look at flight prices ... were abouts will it be held ... and half-decent hotels nearby?
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
I would be interestedAs this seems to be turning into a "several" day meet and people are travelling from quite a distance, no names as yet, I do want to get some dates firmed up this week before I go on holiday myself.
Ivan, Pink has looked at cheap flights leaving Belfast on the evening of Wednesday 31 August and staying two/three nights. I am looking into "local" accommadation for the "girlies" but as it is festival time this might be at a premium. A budget by pm would be helpful.
As for aliasojo, I am still looking for hidden clocks :rotfl:
I have had a response from people who would like to meet through the day and also for evening so, hey, I'll organise a meet on top of a bus if you like.
Noo and Finish Rich, are you both out there and thinking about it?0 -

Could be into that especially if you scrounge a good deal off the driver again.

Hi. I've been reading posts on this site for a long time but never wanted to post before. I'm thinking it's maybe time I got out and about a bit more and this might be a good opportunity to bite the bullet and meet more people. It sounds like you all know each other though, I'm a bit worried that I'll feel left out. Would it be okay if I brought someone?0

E-lass - is this an annual thing? I would lurve to join in, but there's no way this year
Also, do I have to be Scottish? My G/mother was Scottish, or at least, I was brought up to believe she was, then found out she wasn't, but I *do* eat porridge regularly and haggis when it's reduced after Burns Night ... does that count?
