Hi Alison, just added your items to first post - unfortunately the link for the plastic boxes came up with an error. Thanks for the website though, looks really useful!

  • Hi all. Thought it was about time to bring this thread back so we can all have one place where to have a look for current offers on baskets or other items that could be used as an alternative to baskets for hampers.

If you see any offers ongoing then please add to this thread and I will edit the first post so that everyone can see what is ongoing instead of hunting through loads of pages! I will remove the offer from first post when it has ended or if I get reliably informed that the items are no longer available.

Hoping it helps anyone and thank you in advance for any contributions (aswell as thanks as we go aswell!!!!).

  • Asda are doing some great baskets at the moment.

They are wicker ones with a pink patterened lining (I think they also had a set with a blue lining). There is one big one, one that is slightly smaller that fits inside and two smaller ones inside that!! All for a tenner.

ikea have some sale ones at the minute, large deep round ones, for 1.99 great if you have something big like a hand towel to stuff in the bottom, otherwise it would be newspaper.

  • Cullumpster pointed out on the Finished Baskets thread that Home bargains 3 wicker baskets for £6.99. Added to first post!!

    Thanks Cullumpster

I got my hamper baskets last year from Alders in Leeds City Centre - only £3.99 each, quite large and lidded - really sturdy, dark wicker too :) My dad uses his as a DVD caddy and my mum keeps hand towels in hers - I'll have to post pics!

  • BE QUICK!! Tesco have a seagrass bin (£1.24) and a magazine rack (£1.99) that could be used for hampers - have just ordered mine as they were 75% off. Ideally wanted hamper basket with lids but I couldnt resist this bargain!
