    Of course you are right and nobody except the very naive think companies do this out of the goodness of their hearts.
    It's almost always for their own promotional reasons.

    What you have to consider is whether it's worth it.

    Having been on this beofre and having had 2 cheap night (not £1 but still very good) then I personally think it's worth it (and I haven't been inundated).

    Entering every competition under the sun for things you don't really want or need will probably end up with lots of spam.

    So my advice is think carefully as to what you apply for.

    This one is definitely a genuine offer as many of us have stayed there (and it's quite nice) although not everyone will get it and I predict a few of those that don't will be quite bitter.
