What's the deal?
Mobyko is a website that allows you to back-up your mobile phone numbers for free from anywhere (your phone sends them as a data file). So if you lose your mobile or get a new one you can access your contacts online at any time from anywhere.
Its basic service is free and easy to use; and better still if you do it right now, it'll give you a voucher for a free cocktail worth up to £5.50.
How to save your contacts
Simply go to Mobyko and click on 'Free Monkey Shoulder Cocktail' (bottom left). Enter your details followed by your mobile number and the network you are on. You'll be sent a 4 digit pin number to use later.
Select your phone handset type and it will then take you through a step-by-step process of how to save your contacts from your particular handset. As there is a data call from your mobile to get the numbers across; this has to be paid for and you need to check your network's charges (though don't worry, its likely to be in pence not pounds)
Get a free cocktail
At the moment Mobyko is offering a free cocktail, worth £5.50 at any Pitcher & Piano, when you sign up to its service (see if there's one near you).
Once you've signed up click on the tab that says 'Mobyko knows' and then on 'Free Monkey Cocktail' and finally 'Click here to download'. You should receive the voucher to your inbox in the next few minutes; you need to use it within 10 days of printing it.
Get 50 free texts
You can also bag 50 free texts when you sign up which when you send them from the website, will appear as though they're from your mobile. (See the Free Texts article for more tips and tricks on texting).

This may save someone else time ...
A quick warning to fellow owners of the technologically-antique but mechanically-superior Nokia 3410 workhorse (yup, the one you can repeatedly drop, kick and - allegedly - even leave in the washing machine) - Mobyko can't offer us any back up facilities. We are too old!0 -
Did not know people still use that lolWho needs a sig!!! :rotfl:0

Hi mikesmst,
I am the Support Manager at Mobyko.
Regarding your post, it should be possible for you to use Mobyko on the O2 network as long as you have a supported phone and access to WAP/GPRS.
I am sure we can get your contacts backed up. So if you would like some assistance then please drop me an email at support@mobyko.com
thanks,
