Foundation on carpet

Thanks to my darling 18 month old daughter who decided to decorate my bedroom carpet with my foundation in the two minutes my back was turned.
I immediately tackled it with my off the shelf usually trusty Vanish Oxiaction cleaner, but it hasn't got rid of it completely. Can I use something "home-made" like white vinegar - and if so, how do I do it, dilute it, use neat etc?
Any help would be much appreciated.

washing with warm soapy water, a few times works a treat. (mine did it acouple yeards ago) then soak up water with talc, leave to dry and vacuum.

bicarb should get it off
wet the carpet and then sprinkle the bicarb on it rub with a sponge
you might have to repeat it but it should do the job0 -

First you need to hoover up as much as you can!! Don't rub it!!
Mix 2 cups of water with 1 cup of clear white vinegar and dab at the stain. Do not rub and work from the outside in so you don't spread the staining. Use a white cloth to do the cleaning.
Rinse by dabbing with another clean white cloth and clean water.
The cloths should be damp not wet because you don't want to overwet the carpet!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is a bit late for this episode, but if it happens again get some cornflour and add a generous amount to area with the powdered make up on, rub in gently with fingers and then using a dry nail brush work the powder right into the fibres, leave to sit for 10 mins vac & repeat if needed.
First law of carpet stains, try dry first, then go for the wet, as it is easier to move on the the wet stuff than it is to dry the wet carpet and try the dry trick IYKWIM?0
