Bloomin TalkTalk Help

Options
Hello Money Savers

I had Talk Talk Broadband Unlimited and was disconnect for using the service too much! Was disconnected on the 22nd March.

Not only that but to my horror on the 21st April I received a bill from them for £24.99 of course I called them up and complained and I was assured that the money wouldn't leave my account.

But as I am sure you can guess on the 5th May I noticed £24.99 leaving my account for Carphone Warehouses!!

Yesterday i called up in a rage trying to find out what's happened, I have since found out they have charged me once before so thats almost £50 they owe me!! I could not get to speak to a manager as they were in Meetings! (Convenient!) so I was assured I would recieve a call within 24 hours, 2:30 PM is coming fast with no sign of a phone call yet.

Has anyone got a contact number or address for Talk Talk's complaint department? Any tips on complaining to them?

Thanks In Advance

    I take it Carphone Warehouse do not understand the definition of the word 'unlimited'!
    (1) having no limits in range or scope;
    (2) that cannot be entirely consumed or used up;
    (3) without reservation or exception
    Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
    There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

    Talk Talk offer a good phone service, such a shame their broadband isn't up to the same standard.
    It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

    Seems, they have unpublished Fair use policy !

    I also heard that they block traffic to P2P ports.

    Avoid....
    All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

    They 'manage' traffic, traffic that isn't web browsing, email, or standard downloading they throttle, it's not the actual ports they block, but the the type of traffic, so even if you try and use port 80 for P2P it still gets throttled yet http traffic on port 80 will work fine.

    There are times when I suddenly realise how old I must be getting (when I don't understand posts like the above).

    P2P always involves horses jumping over fences around here!

    If it was a direct debit, phone up your bank and tell them you would like to retarct the debit from your account, as they have brokenm their agreement, and you will get your money back within a couple of days, thats the best way to get your money back!

  • I am experiencing major problems with my TalkTalk broadband connection also. I am already a TalkTalk landline customer, and decided back in March to sign up for Broadband with TalkTalk at 1mbps.
    3 months later my modem finally arrived, but i do not have a 1mbps connection, i am on a 576kpbs connection, i have made numerous calls to them and even made a formal complaint to which i have had no reply.
    I am losing patience with them, i now have to prove to them my connection speed by downloading software that measures this for you, and then e-mail them the information which is generated. So i am going to do that, and see what happens next, but i really wish i had just stuck with Wanadoo now, as TalkTalk broadband has just been a whole load of hassle!!!
