We only have 58 pages

Hi all,

Just trying to track back in Old Style where we have over 600 pages of threads and the furthest we can go back at the moment is a mere 58!

Is this the same across the boards?

Not sure about the rest of the board but since the site change some months ago alot of OS threads are proving hard to trace.

That's because the search is even worse than it was before, I reckon.

I had a quick look around and all the boards that I would expect to have lots of pages of threads are all listing only in double figures - anywhere between 20+ and 60+.

    Hmm...

I seem to remember the possibility mentioned somewhere about archiving older threads to try and take the load off the new server while problems get sorted. Maybe that's what's going on now?

The only way I have been able to track down some past threads is to go through ALL my posts trying to remember which month it was. Or the OP if I can remember who it is.

    Very Tedious!

You'd need to look at the forum number in the URL bar when viewing a forum list page and change the 33 in this one to the forum you want to search...

  • Hi folks,

Sorry about this but we've been playing around with the Forum defaults settings and this one went live before it was meant to.

What we've done is set the Forum default to show only the last month's posts, instead of every post in history. We're going to change it back for now but this may become standard in future.

Of course, you can set your own defaults in your User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options -> Default Thread Age Cutoff.
