More respect due to D&A, my girlfriend took advantage of this as she get headaches from her PC at work - the eyetest showed that she DOES NOT need glasses - so they arent just trying to sell glasses and they were the least pushy salespeople when I was choosing my frames (I took hours!)

I thought this deserved a bump after I noticed someone paying for an eye test on the glassesdirect thread...

Paying for an eye test, then getting cheapo frames - BAD MONEYSAVING!

Man I cant wait for my new sunglasses - the weather today isnt helping me wait!

Just to update you all, I have my free eye test yesterday. The test showed I dont need glasses, so I can second the person who said D&A dont just want to sell you glasses.

Having said that D&A charge £20 for a test whereas Specsavers only charge £10, so I wont be going back!

Has anyone had a specsavers test though - my D&A test was very good, the optician was excellent.

I dont like specsavers fram selection at all, though I guess the opticians are just as qualified!

My husband had his at Specsavers last week (hence me thinking about having one) - he wears glasses all of the time and has never had any problems with either the test or the frames.

I would say all tests are pretty much the same, it depends on the individual person on the day I guess.
