Anyone else lost their comping mojo? post here :)

Hi Softpad,

Please excuse if I have made a mistake here - long time lurker, first time posting - I hope this works!!

I'm no spring chicken - been comping for many years. I have had a lot of good fortune re competitions, sometimes thru luck, sometimes thru effort eg: tiebreakers etc (few years back tiebreakers were more popular). However, I have had some lovely wins all thanks to this site. I love it, and I keep trucking on - always thinking positive thoughts. If i'm entering competitions I usually enter thinking of my nearest and dearest - my husband has advanced prostate cancer (just diagnosed) and my kids and me are with him all the way. He's doing good at the moment and every day we send thanks up that he is doing ok.

So - here I go blethering on!!! Apologies - its just - you know - keep at it, its just so lovely when you get an email or a letter, and you will be over the moon!

So sorry for blethering, but the prizes are out there, you gotta be in it to win it.!!!

Done just about 4500 comps so far this year and biggest win so far has been some jewellery from Top Shop worth £29.50.

Other day over 250 comps finished and over 100 today.

I keep looking at what others have won and I know I shouldn't as like rubbing salt into a wound but I don't begrudge others winning.

Just wish some luck would finally come my way.

OH keeps moaning about all hours I spend on comp doing then as it's a waste of time.

I've definitely lost my mojo too Just can't be bothered right now so am doing odd ones here & there when I feel like it. If I feel like it lol......

Most hobbies go through ups and downs and comping is no different. I think it's easy to 'expect' a win if you spend a lot of time comping. If I get that like I reduce the time I spend so it stays as 'a hobby' and then I'm happy with any small win.

Have to admit though I haven't felt like this since I started comping almost 2.5 years ago!!!

LOL oh those have gone apart from about £20! When I won them we'd just bought a bungalow as I have CFS/ME and couldn't cope with the stairs and we had zero money to furnish it as I'd had to give up work. So it went on wardrobes, bed, oven, hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, bedding, sofa, TVs, Blu-Ray and much more. Almost everything for the house. It was wonderful being able to get top of the range stuff for once!!! I'd have got a new fridge/freezer and dishwasher but we ran out :rotfl:

I do believe the big wins come when you really need!!! I couldn't have wished for a better win. If it had been cash it would have just gone on the refurb, but with vouchers it meant so much much more.

TBH it still seems quite unreal that I won it

I have to admit I have had a great start to the year averaging one win every other day for both Jan & Feb. I have to add that I only enter from 1 email address and the only other people I enter for are my children (for kids comps). It's easy to believe that people are winning unfairly, but I can honestly tell you that I don't and I'm sure a lot of us on here don't.
I hope things get better for you all as the year goes on. Don't give up.
