Dishwasher help needed

Hi all.

I have just stopped using tablets and did my first wash with the liquid type to save some pennies. Everything has come out cloudy. Am I using too much liquid/not enough?? Or are they not as good as the tablets. Have topped up salt and rinse as thought that might be problem-made no diiference.
Is it a coincidence??
Have I just ruined all my glasses etc??
It's great in here! :)

ooh sounds like too much to me

try washing them in some soap powder see what happens

only put cheap glasses in the dishy as it ruins crystal

something about the lead reacting to the heat
  • Been waiting for your reply. Thanks. Suppose it's just getting used to the amount.
However, some of the stuff wasn't cleaned properly, glasses very, very cloudy, although does rinse away under water...???. Only cheap glasses, although hubby tells me this isn't really money saving if i've ruined the glasses by going for cheaper cleaning products!!

Do you use the liquid formula??? Cathy-I know you use powder, might have to try that!

My dishwasher has a little lid/flap for the dishwasher tablet that you open on the inside of the door. after about 30 secs of starting dishwasher, the tablet can be heard ejecting out of the flap. where would i put the stardrops/powder as these are loose, not contained like the dishwasher tablets?

    Hiya :)

The powder goes in the same place as the tablet - the dispenser is designed to allow you to use either.

If you're concerned about the powder not being able to get out - don't be. If you take a look at the spray arm that is level with the dispenser (when the door would be closed) you'll see that there's a hole at one end (or the other) that would shoot water straight out at the door... and this one is placed there for the sole purpose of hosing out any powder that doesn't already fall out when the dispenser flap opens.

    Honest :)
