It can be difficult to know whether you have done a competition simply from looking at the threads list. I know you can subscribe to the thread so the little tick appears but it's time consuming (when you are doing 50 comps a time) and rather awkward to do.
Is there a way of adding a new button which you press on the thread and it appears like the subscription tick does? I am sure this would help all the compers. Would it be that difficult?
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

I usually click the thanks button uner the op and then if i click on the comp again I know if the thanks has gone that I have already entered, hope that makes sense:Dto be updated:;)0

HI Wokkies - yes I do that but the only way you can see if you have done that is if you go back into the thread to check on it. Unless I am missing something you cannot see if the thanks has been pressed simply from the list of threads. Please correct me if I am wrong as it would help so much!A big thank you to everyone who contibutes to the MSE forums :T0

I'd love a comps done button, and would really prefer that to the End Date button that I never use due to its default settings. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
I enter the competitions in the order they were posted, for example there may be 5-10 pages of competitions posted today so I go to the last page and work my way back to page 1. I then subscribe to the last competition thread I entered and the following day work back from that subscribed thread to page 1 again.
It doesn't solve your problem but doing it this way means you never miss a competition or click twice on a competition only to find you've entered it already.

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
Hi Ms Chocaholic
That's a good idea, for me though that only really works if you do comps religiously everyday. I tend to do mine sporadically say once a week and then start with comps ending then go to most recently posted. It tends to get a bit messy and your system doesn't quite work with the end date view option. Not sure how other people do their comps?A big thank you to everyone who contibutes to the MSE forums :T0 -
Hi bubblybee - I've already made a similar suggestion to you (HERE), but got no response (it was in another thread though, so perhaps this will get more attention now it's in it's own thread)!
It would be nice to have some feedback from the MSE techies on this thread please.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
Another thing I'd really love to see in the comps forum is a tickbox down the side, you know like we have for PMs and subscriptions in our User CP? Because I subscribe to competitions en masse when pressed for time, and then go back and enter them all when I can. It literally takes hours sometimes the way I have to do it at the moment.0
