halifax reward current account - how long does the £1000

This may sound like a daft question - so don't hit me - but if I have an overdraft for say £1000 which is maxed and I then pay in £1001 on pay day do I still get the £5?
I'm thinking here that it may soften the blow of the potential £30 that somebody could be charged under the new scheme.0 -

Yes you would get the £5 as you would have paid in more tham £1000.0 -
Thanks for that noh.
I'll need to keep an eye on my account when the changes come in.
I'd saved £500 this month to help pay off my overdraft of £1000 and I get paid tomorrow.
Was well on course to either having it cleared or nearly cleared by December and feeling pretty chuffed about it.
Then while driving to work today my exhaust goes.
£250 smackers straight in the pocket of Mr K Fit.

I was told by bank staff that it had to have £1 left in when I asked them to transfer my innitial deposit back to my main account. Try the transfer and leave £1 in.
One of my Reward current accounts doesn't have an overdraft facility and it lets me withdraw all but 1p.
The other has an overdraft available and so I can withdraw down to zero balance for that one (I don't go overdrawn, the overdraft was just standardly offered when I opened it as a Hi Interest account ages ago.)0
