  • Thanks again savapenny, I found the hotel...
I probably risk sounding really stupid, but when I continued with the Riu Olivina, I was offered an option:

Room 1 - 2 Adults Sleeps Price Please select
1 bedroom apartment with Cot Space 2 to 3 Selected
Twin room with Private Bath , WC , Balcony 2 to 3 +£28.00

Does it mean that I have to pay £28 extra for a private bath/wc??

...And I (wrongly) assumed that AI would include flights too.. so I guess I still have to find flights via Ryanair?

The rooms have a terrace and are an apartment type room ( I think) so if you wanted a balcony and a normal hotel room you would pay extra but yes you would still have a bath/shower in the one with no supplement
The hotel is £676 with flight with Ryanair
£572 is just the hotel price
Same hotel on a package would be £1008 for 2 people

I have also found another AI but mixed reviews
Its called the Flora Apartments on AI for £369.69 for 2 + flights with www.1800hotels.com recent reviews are good
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
  • thanks for that.
The Algarve deal also sounds very good..

Where can find out what kind of weather I can expect in Nov in the Algarve and in Lanzarote?

  • Thanks for all your help so far...
now I am really undecided... Both the Algarve and the Lanzarote deals are excellent and don't know which one to go for...
I'm looking for a relaxing holiday with sun and beach.
Which would you suggest in terms of weather and facilities?

Both have things going for them, but weather on both could be good could be bad
We have done both at different times
Algarve early December and weather was brillaint and Lanzarote late October early November and weather was also brillaint but its not saying thats the norm

    http://www.lanzarotetourist.com/lanzarote-weather.cfm
On facililties I would say Algarve would be best and food would be best
Both have great beaches close by , with Lanzarote probably being nearer
It depends on if you want 5* on HB or 3-4*AI

I wouldnt hang around though those cheap flight wont last long

  • Went for the Riu Palace, Algarve, 5/11 - 7days,@£417, managed to find flights with Ryanair for £62 (for 2) + £20 CC fee = £82 from Stanstead, so just under £500 for 5* HB which is really good, I think :)

Thanks again savapenny for all your help!
