Hi,

I have just changed from Orange to O2 wireless.

The box is up and running no problem, my laptop is working fine BUT my PC isnt, i typed the WEP in and it connects to O2 but wont browse it just comes up page cannot be displayed.

Is there something i have to change on my PC??

Ive tried typing 192.168.1.64 into my address bar but it wont even load that.

Sorry i really dont know much about wireless.

How are you linking your PC wirelessly to the wireless router-USB adapter or PCI wireless card?
You should not be using WEP encryption these days, it's not at all secure, you should change it to WPA ASAP, asuming your laptop wireless card supports it.

user - SuperUser (you could also use Administrator but that id can't do so much)

password - the serial number of your 02Box
  • I've posted somewhere else that it's often a DNS problem (according to many forum users, like thinkbroadband and O2 forum).

If it is in your case it can be resolved by switching to OpenDNS http://www.opendns.com/. (or at list trying it can eliminate this as a possible cause if it does not work).

As I'm not technical I was reluctant to start messing around, but after calling the helpline and getting nowhere, I decided to try (It's easy to change the settings on Windows, unless you use multiple devices, in which case it's slightly more complicated).

It's worked very well, and now I have a fast, reliable connection again!
