Because the simple answer is it isnt free on DSat! The owners of Dave have decided its not economical to operate on DSat as a FTA channel so charge Sky to carry it, in turn Sky charge for it as part of the entertainment package.
They have obv decided the costs of broadcasting on freeview can be covered by the advertising generated.
Why are people so quick to blame Sky for everything? Any channel can buy an EPG slot and start broadcasting on DSat Free To Air. Truth is that it's not cheap to do on Sat and they need Sky's financial help.0 -
Simple cure, use Freeview, not FreesatfromSky or Freesat.;)0

Because "free to air" and "free to view" are not the same thing.0
