    The half sovereign is 22 carat and weighs 3.9grams.

    Hi everyone I am totally new to the site and a wee bit apprehensive having read some of the comments regarding new members but I am having a go anyway! I sent off 49 grams of broken jewellry to Hatton Garden Metals on the 17th Nov and had a reply on the 18th informing me £370.36 had been credited to my account - and it had. I was paid for 47.30 g as weight lost was non gold item. I noticed someone else had said that the next day delivery was dodgy as the label could be easily removed. I paid an extra 50p for a proper next day delivery plastic envelope that you have to write the address on. I have emailed Gary to thank him for the very prompt service. :j

    I have just found the key to a jewelery box that I haven't opened for a couple of years as I am not in a job where you can wear much jewelery.
    My question (if I have posted in the right place) is does anybody know which is the best gold buying company or which offers the best prices. I look forward to your help.
