This may be of interest to you and anyone else visiting Bath.
It`s a FREE walking tour, and having been on it, I can say it`s well worth doing to give you an insight into Bath and it`s history.
It really is free because the guides don`t accept any tips whatsoever.

I can recommend the pieminster pies they serve at the Raven if you are hungry and want a hearty meal.0

There is no left luggage facility at the station, but it's only 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
I personally wouldn't bother with the Roman Baths unless you have a particular interest. Same with the Assembly Rooms and museum of costume. They're ok, but not that cheap and usually mobbed with tourists. The Abbey is impressive though and I believe it only has a 'suggested donation' ;-)
We hoping to leave our stuff at the station and wonder around Bath before we got our train home. Not to worry, have to pack light for once.
I think the best things I'm hearing about Bath are christmas shopping (markets), beer and food! That will do me

You can quite often get cheap tickets at the Theatre Royal if you turn up about 30 minutes before the curtains up (start from about £5), check out their website if it's something you fancy - also very close to Strada, Pizza Express and Las Iguanas (handy for those 2 for 1 deals!!)I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0

I found Yak Yeti Yak very underwhelming, not terrible just bland. I think I'd rather use a 2 for 1 at a chain restaurant as thevicster mentioned. Unfortunately everything in Bath is very expensive which is a shame as I usually like to hunt out independent restaurants.
The Pump Rooms next to the Roman Baths are great for afternoon tea. It's very posh with waiters and linen tablecloths and classical musicians playing. You might pay £2.50 for a pot of tea but you aren't rushed and for the experience you're only paying 50p more than in Starbucks. I think they make their money out of people having the champagne afternoon teas with cakes and sandwiches.
The Abbey is good, there's lots of lovely shops and the park is good for a walk around. It's one of those places where you don't need to plan lots of trips, just wander around and see where the mood takes you

i stayed a weekend at The George hotel, cant remember prices etc but a good location, decent breakfast. Particular issues i remember were the one way system (a nightmare) and parking. We ended up in a multi story car park for the weekend which was probably £10 a day.0

Spinny Cross is showing through latetrooms.com at £80 a night0

As far as I know Yak Yeti Yak has moved since I last ate there, to near the train station. Since then it appears to have lost some of its quality. Not sure if we should still go there, or maybe just for lunch?
