s&s, and cash isa query

I have a S&S ISA with my mortgage provider which is managed by L&G, which will hopefully pay off the capital in the future.
My query is, can i also have a cash ISA with another bank, so long as i do not go above the yearly limits?

Yes you can.
You get a Cash Isa allowance every year (3,600 pounds, or 5,200 pounds if you're over 50) and you can put it into the best paying provider. I have cash isas all over the place, but I try to consolidate them when I get the time.
As you point out, if you open a Cash Isa you won't be able to put the full yearly allowance of £7,200 (or £10,200 if you're over 50) into a s&s ISA.0
